Bari, the capital of the region, is divided between the elegant Murat quarter and the hypnotic old city. The ancient village is dominated by the magnificent Norman Swabian Castle designed by King Norman Roger II and later fortified by Frederick II of Swabia. Continuing along the ancient streets you can see the Romanesque Cathedral of San Sabino and the majestic Basilica of San Nicola, both the fulcrum of the city. Being in these places means getting the feeling of life in a Qasba, because of its walls that surround us and its many markets.

In the Murat quarter, outside the ancient town, we find streets and palaces such as the Theaters of Petruzzelli, Piccinni, and Margherita, and the Palaces of Governo, Municipio and Fizzarotti.

Bari is also a city rich in gastronomic traditions, we participate in the life of the city, tasting some typical foods.

We find stalls and kiosks in which you can taste fried polenta (sgagliozze), the typical focaccia barese, the panzerotti (a closed fried pizza stuffed with mozzarella and tomato) and fresh raw fish. In the famous markets Nicolai, Montegrappa, Japigia and Mazzini that take their name from the street or from the neighbourhood, we can find food or non-food products, ideal mementoes to take home.

Apulian aperitif consists of crunchy taralli and slices of bread stuffed with tomato and olive oil, tantalizing local olives, cruditè and salted cornetti filled with local salami along with an indispensable glass of local wine.

Find yourself on a terrace overlooking the sea on ancient mills carved into the rock to enjoy unique and unequivocal products, is an exclusive experience to make. You will taste delicacies prepared at the moment using fresh quality foods such as raw of sea, fish tartare, bruschetta of crispy bread seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and stuffed in various ways served with a glass of wine characterised by an intense flavor as only the Apulian one can give.
