RECOMMENDED ITINERARY - 60 km
Departure from Monopoli and continue along the panoramic road to Alberobello. Stop at the famous "Loggia di Pilato" view point for photo’s and to admire the coastline from Bari to Brindisi. Following the panoramic road, arrive to Capitolo, then Savelletri and Egnazia excavation site. Stop at a restaurant for coffee or a glass of wine and tasting sea urchins. Going along the coastal road, arriving at Monopoli. Pit stop for photo’s in Porto Rosso, Porto Foca, Porta Vecchia with a view of the cannons and the walls sourrounding the city. Continue to Polignano a Mare along the coastal road to admire the sea, the red land and the jagged coastline. Once in Polignano, stop and photos at Grotta Ardito, Grotta Palazzese, Lama Monachile and Statue of Domenico Modugno. It’s also possible to have a walking tour in the old towns of Monopoli and Polignano and to stop for an aperitif.
